step case

The HMS 003 is a dressy three-hand watch that harmoniously blends modernity with the codes of the past. Inspired by the 1940s, its 36,5mm diameter "step case" is made from a single piece of stainless steel and plays superbly with light thanks to its different finishes: horizontal brushing along the case middle, circular brushing on the lugs and a polished bezel.

A dial full
of history

Since its creation in 2017, the HMS has never stopped reinventing itself. The dial of the HMS 003 is the purest expression of the combined designs of versions 001 and 002. A brushed railway track surrounds a brushed sector on which polished appliques are positioned. The rest of the dial has a matte sandblasted finish, adding a subtle contrast to the overall effect. The leaf-shaped hour and minute hands are slightly larger than those of previous versions, giving the watch a more pronounced character.

All the models in our HMS collection are equipped with the 8315 automatic movement, designed in Japan by the Miyota manufacture. Offering 60 hours of power reserve, it is renowned for its resistance, robustness and reliability. The HMS 003 Silver blue is available with an open case back offering an unobstructed view of the calibre.

Beautiful Microbrand Watch!

For many years I owned a 1930's Rolex Oyster Bubbleback with a salmon dial that was my grandfather's from WWII. My son recently graduated from West Point, United States Military Academy, and I gifted him that watch as a graduation present. Since then, I have been looking for a quality replacement. I didn't want another Rolex, because it just wouldn't have the same meaning, and I doubt I could find one similar. I have know about Baltic watches for some time as I am a watch guy. Becuase of that, I have always kind of had my eye on one and the gifting of the Rolex to my son was the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger. And boy, am I impressed!. The watch is even nicer in person than it appears on the website. I have truly enjoyed wearing it and pairing it with new bands. By the way, it looks phenomenal on dark brown suede. I am extremely glad I purchased this watch. I plan to hold on to it for the rest of my life and then pass it on. I have no doubt it will still be a wonderful watch all those years later. Thank, Baltic, for making great watches.
